Kan Jam
Hello Everyone! This past Thursday, the P.E. department hosted the Play Day at Slippery Rock University. One of the popular activities was Kan Jam. I have seen people play this game, but I never got to learn it. As I was trying to learn the rules at Play Day, I found out that many people were telling me different scoring rules. I was wondering if anyone could clear that up for me. Is it an automatic win if you make the disc into the front slot? Is it 3 points for getting the disc into the can? Do you get a point for just hitting the can? Please help me out! Thanks.

I also enjoy playing Kan Jam, it is a great game to play in the summer with your friends. The way I have learned the game is if it goes into the front slot it is an automatic win. This has only happened to me once, however, as it is a lot harder than it seems. Also, when my friends and I play, it is 3 points for a tip into the can, 2 points for hitting the can on the fly and 1 point for a tip off the outside of the can. I hope this clears up the game and you can enjoy Kan Jam the rest of the summer!
ReplyDeleteKan Jam is one of my favorite summer activities for sure. As brad stated above, The scoring is as follows. It is 3 points if your partner deflects the disc into the top of the can or the slot in the front. It is 2 points if you throw directly off of the side of the can. It is 1 point for a deflection off of the side of the can. It is an automatic win if you throw the dis through the slot without assistance from your partner, but i have also played that if you drop the dis into the top of the can without your partner touching it, that is also an automatic win.
